Gone to Scrapfest!!!!

Hey, Y'all!

The store will be closed today (wednesday, 3-25) through Saturday! I'm so sorry if you make the trip without getting the message. I'll be back in the shop Monday... putting it all back together! Be sure to come in next week to get your hands on all the NEW THICKERS that are on their way!!! If Greta did her math right, then I've got a selection of about 55 different styles/colors to choose from, YIKES! That's a whole lotta thickers!

ONLY SIX MORE DAYS...

Until the release of Twilight. I've been counting down since last Tuesday, when I made my countdown calendar... note to self - I've got to get a pic of that thing!

That means there is only seven days until our Twilight party at Anthologies! Since we are doing an ATC swap, I've GOT to get a head count. I'm going to personally contact you girls who have already said you want to play to make sure you can come. If you want to participate but cannot make it to the store for the swap, we can work it out so you get a full set of trading cards (just make sure you get your contribution to the store before Saturday). I want to have an accurate count by Monday around lunch, so let me know ASAP if you want to play!

Before, I had mentioned that we could possibly make the swap cards at the party, but that really wouldn't work out too swell with the time constraints, and activities I'm getting ready. Sooooo... if you really want to play but you want some assistance getting your cards ready, please come to the store around noon on Saturday with an idea of what you want your card to be about, and I can give you some tips and pointers so you can have them ready before the party starts! If you want to come by another day this week, that is fine too. Y'all know I'm flexible!

I hope this gives some of you newbies a little inspiration, call me at the store if you need some more guidance... 228.392.2166. Oh, and some of the girls participating in the crop use an ATC spinner rack from 7 gypsies, so keep them in mind when designing your card... that basically means to keep any over-the-edge embellishments on the right side of the card because the left side gets punched and hung on the rack. Happy creating this week! And... did I mention that I'm super excited about Saturday?!?!

Typepad is acting a little fishy today, and part of my message is getting messed up, so I'll add it down here, instead. Here are some more samples of ATCs, remember they are 2.5x3.5" and can be painted, sanded, stitched, modpodged, embossed... seriously, the sky's the limit!

Also, I've got the countdown going for the Twilight release next weekend!!! We are going to swap Twilight ATCs, enjoy the soundtrack and themed yummies, then we're going to view the movie at Brandy's. I think a Bloody Mary may be in order! Oh, we're going to have so much fun! Just 10 more days!!!!

Scrap Yard Sale time, again!!!

It's that time again. I've got several tables full of scrappy goodies that are looking for a great new home. There are a lot of storage solutions at a very reasonable price. Come over for some great bargains!!!

March Crops

I cannot seem to get my camera to this shop... I thought it was in Trey's truck, but I drove the truck today and it is NOT in there. Now, I'm going to say it's probably in my duffle bag from last weekend. Anyway, I wanted to post pics of my latest happy projects... oh well, I'll get to that.

But for now...

Crops for this month will be Saturday, March 14, Noon-6pm, and the next Saturday, March 21, 10am-4pm. Crop on the 21st is ending early so we can get ready for the Twilight Party. It's going to be so much fun. We are going to have a Twilight ATC swap, fun Vampire treats, and we'll be hoppin' and boppin' to the soundtrack. Then, everyone is invited to a viewing of the movie at Brandy's house (it's right around the corner from the shop). If you can't tell, I'm just a little obsessed and I CAN'T wait until March 21!!!

Other new info...

I've scheduled my summer kids' camps for 2009:

"Plan a Party" - June 15-18 - Let's tend to every detail for planning the perfect party... from theme selection to invitations and decorations. You'll even make your own event planner to keep up with all the important stuff. (min. age 11)

"Diva-licious" - June 22-25 - We're definitely going to be rockin' the black and pink again! Room decor, gifts, and more... It's sure to be a fun week! (ages 9-13)

Camp hours - 9:00am-Noon each day
Cost is $100 per session

It's going to be a blast!!!
